What a connector is
Several products in the suite publish an MCP server: a set of tools an AI client — Claude, an agent, your own script — can call directly, instead of you copying data in and out of a browser tab.
The connectors directory in the platform lists which products expose one.
Public and private connectors
- Public connectors need no account. AI API Pricing's catalogue is public data, so its connector is open and read-only.
- Private connectors act as you, inside your organisation. They authorise through the platform, so the assistant gets exactly the permissions your role has — never more.
Adding one to a client
- Copy the connector URL from the product's documentation.
- Add it as a remote MCP server in your client.
- For a private connector, complete the authorisation in the browser window the client opens.
Revoking access is done from the account area, not from the client: removing the server locally stops the client using it, but only revocation invalidates the grant.
