Introduction

Overview

The platform is the part of SLXD that is not any single product: your account, your organisation, your plan and the connectors you grant to AI clients. It lives in your account area, and every product in the suite reads from it.

The line is deliberate. Anything that would be identical in five products — signing in, inviting a colleague, paying — is here once. Anything that is the product's actual work stays in the product.

What the platform owns

  • Identity. One sign-in for the whole suite, with your interface language attached to your profile rather than to each app.
  • Organisations. The organisation that owns the data, its members and their roles.
  • Entitlements and billing. Which products your organisation can open, on which plan, with how many credits.
  • Connectors. The MCP endpoints an assistant can be pointed at, and the authorisation that lets it act as you.

What each product owns

Its own data, its own database and its own deploy. A product never asks the platform anything during your requests: what it needs travels in your session and is refreshed by webhook, so an incident in the platform cannot take the products with it.
