1. Add a client
Go to Clients and create the client your first project belongs to: a name, and their tax id and contact if you have them handy — you can fill those in later.
2. Create your first project
In Projects, click New project. Give it a name, pick the client you just created and, if you already have People connected, assign a project manager — the rest (dates, priority) is optional.
3. Add your team
From the project's page, Team tab, add the people who'll work on it. Without People connected, this tab tells you so and there's no one to add yet.
4. Create the first tasks
On the Tasks tab, log the work ahead: a title, a priority and, if you want, a due date. You can assign them to someone on the team and link them to each other with dependencies.
5. Plan the week
Go to Planning and spread each person's expected hours across their projects. If the person has known availability (from People), the grid warns you if you go over.
Where to go next
- Projects, tasks and planning — everything else you can do with a project: milestones, documents, expenses and daily dedication.
- Retainers and tickets — if your client buys prepaid hours or needs support.
- Connect an assistant — if you want to ask Claude or ChatGPT about your projects.
