Payroll, annual budget and subscriptions

Payroll

Finance has no payroll module of its own: it derives payroll from your daily ledger (salary, social security and withholding entries) and the payments Holded records, matching each employee's name against People's roster, if your organization also uses it. You'll see a monthly summary (salaries, company and employee social security, withholding) and a per-person breakdown.

Without People connected, payroll still shows — you just won't know whether that person is still active today.

Annual budget

Budget is a month × category grid (sales, purchases, payroll, other expenses, depreciation, financial expenses and income, tax) where you enter by hand what you expect for each line over the year. It's yours: Holded knows nothing about it. You compare it against actuals in analytics.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are your organization's recurring services — purchases (a hosting plan, a domain) or sales (something you bill a client yourself, monthly or annually). Each subscription links to the Holded documents that renew it, and from that Finance works out its current price and next renewal on its own.

Every Monday, whoever can manage subscriptions gets a heads-up on the ones renewing that week — so they can be reviewed before they get charged or invoiced automatically.
